Youth Lock-In
January 12, 2006
CBC Youth Group will be heading down to the Country Club Plaza to see the lights and sights. Then back to the church we go for a gift exchange, dinner, and LOCK-IN. Meet at the church at 6:00 pm. Lock-In ends at 6:00 am. We will have a short bible devotion at some point in the evening.
Note: The gift exchange is a 'gag-gift.' You are not to spend more than $5.00. For example: A frozen turkey makes a great gag gift. As does a tooth brush, an old pair of sneakers, or even your grandmother's cat. What? Uhh, maybe not a cat, but you get the drift. I hope!
Food and Drinks: Guys are to bring your favorite drink. Girls are to bring your favorite junk food. Just a suggestion. Red Bull, Jolt, and Mountain Dew are all excellent drink choices. And I really like homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Games: X-Box and PS2 will already be on hand. Make sure you bring board games that you would like to play. Risk and Monopoly anyone?
If you would like to see certain games or activities played at the Lock-In please submit your request before the CBC Youth Blog Committee ASAP, upon submission, it will then be reviewed by a steering comittee, voted on, and if approved, drafted into 'Lock-In Legislation' by-law # 120943.22.101, subcategory Games. Upon being added to the Itinerary, we will then send said itinerary before Chandler Baptist Leadership Committee where it will be prayerfully considered. After they approve it, then and only then, will we add it to our list of Games to play at some point during the evening. Really not that complicated, is it?
Purpose: To bring your friends, learn something, and have fun in a safe environment.
See you then.
